Laura and her husband Jonathan married in June of 2016 and moved to Williamsburg shortly after with their two dogs. They have since joyously welcomed two sons: William and Wesley and are expecting their first daughter this year! Originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, Laura relocated to the peninsula in 2006 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus on child development at Christopher Newport University. While completing her degree, she worked in Newport News Public Schools. Post-graduation, Laura entered the corporate world in Management but felt a calling as a mother to build a community around families and create a proverbial “village” of support for those with young children.
With years of childcare experience, Laura transitioned into the childcare field and took on the role of Director of Kid’s Morning Out in May 2018, just before its opening in September. Seeking a way to serve both the church and the community while balancing life with her newborn son, she embraced the Director position. Laura’s love for children, experience in management, passion for community, and desire to serve called her to lead this program. She looks forward to helping Kid’s Morning Out grow to serve the Williamsburg area for years to come!
