Office: 757-229-1771 ext 119

Tamara Carver, our Assistant Director at Early Childhood Music School, brings a wealth of expertise to our program. Beyond being an adept instructor for all our classes, ranging from First Music to Young Musicians 1, Tamara's financial background enhances her role in managing the accounts at ECMS. Her journey with ECMS began as a parent, enrolling her daughters in our program while residing in the Hampton Roads area. Through this experience, she developed a deep appreciation for the program and its impact.

Recognizing Tamara's exceptional talents, Mrs. Cindy Freeman, our former director, identified her potential contributions to ECMS. With over 15 years of experience, Tamara brings a passion for learning, a love for dancing, and meticulous attention to detail to her classrooms. She has actively participated in numerous MusikGarten trainings, ECCMA workshops, and educational seminars. Additionally, Tamara attended the Graduate Summer Music Institute at the University of Hartford, deepening her understanding of Music Learning Theory by Edwin Gordon—an influential figure in our curriculum.

Tamara's dedication extends beyond the classroom, as she actively engages in our Elliot’s Song program, serving as an outreach teacher. Through this initiative, she provides weekly music instruction to at-risk preschool children in the WJCC area. Tamara's commitment to education, coupled with her love for music and dance, embodies the spirit of ECMS and contributes significantly to the enrichment of our students' lives.

Tamara holds a BA in Economics and Business from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Old Dominion University.
