Join us for a morning of delicious food, fellowship, and fascinating history!
Locations: Williamsburg United Methodist Church (breakfast) and William & Mary (program)
Our morning begins at church with a hearty breakfast, followed by a brief program and time for fellowship. Afterward, we’ll take January’s program across the street to William & Mary, where Jay Gaidmore, the Marian and Alan McLeod Director of Special Collections at the Earl Gregg Swem Library, will host us.
Jay will share insights into his work managing rare and special collections, including letters, diaries, photographs, and university archives. He’ll showcase extraordinary historical treasures, such as:
- Letters written by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Monroe
- First editions of significant works like Isaac Newton’s Principia, Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations, and Phillis Wheatley’s Poems on Various Subjects
Parking: Convenient parking is available behind Swem Library for easy access.
Cost: $15.00 per person (includes breakfast and a $5.00 donation to our scholarship fund and other ministries).
Space is limited, so register early! The UMM-sponsored Fellowship Breakfast is open to all members and guests of WUMC. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to enjoy good food and explore rare historical treasures!
