With grateful hearts for all our many blessings, our congregation will partner with Meals on Wheels and From His Hands to provide about 125 individual dinners to neighbors in need within our local community. Both monetary donations and hands-on volunteers are needed to make this happen.
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (Nov 26), two teams of church volunteers are needed to help package meals at Meals on Wheels and in the Fellowship Hall. On Thanksgiving morning (Nov 27) a few volunteers are needed to ready the hot meals for delivery.
If you prefer to support this ministry financially, please make a check payable to Williamsburg UMC, with “Thanksgiving Meals” noted on the memo line. The cost to provide supplies for one meal is $15. Please mail or deliver your check to the church prior to November 26. Any extra food will be given to a community food program, and unused funds will be donated to a local food distribution center.
