Journey with us through Genesis 1-11.

Each week, we will be exploring a key story from these first chapters of the Bible – and we will be asking what these stories have to tell us about who God is, who we are, and how God shows up in our world. For millennia – since the early centuries of the church – Christians have read these chapters (and all of Genesis) and found glimpses of God’s grace that point us towards God’s love for us in Jesus Christ. We're excited to explore these early chapters of God’s story and see how God has always been in the business of pouring out love and grace upon all people.

Looking for a place to explore faith in a fresh, meaningful way? At Williamsburg United Methodist Church, we’re excited to introduce a new Modern Worship Service — designed for today’s families, young adults, and anyone seeking a relaxed, authentic way to connect with God and community.

This 9:30 a.m. gathering will feature:

  • Live music led by a full band (guitar, drums, piano, and more)
  • Weekly Communion open to all
  • A casual, family-friendly atmosphere where everyone belongs

Children will have a special place in worship through our Prayer Ground — a cozy area with small tables and quiet activities to help little ones feel included and engaged during the service.

TRADITIONAL Worship

Sunday Mornings 8:15am & 11:00am | Sanctuary

Experience the reverence and beauty of traditional worship in our Sanctuary. Following the historic Methodist order of service, our traditional worship includes hymns, prayers, Scripture readings, Communion on the first Sunday of each month, and a sermon delivered by our clergy. This service is perfect for those who find depth and meaning in time-honored rituals and liturgy.

Nursery

Nursery drop off is in our Seedlings Classroom from 8:00am - 12:30pm. Enter through the glass doors at the Banner Entrance from our back parking lot. Once inside, proceed down the hall to the left. At the end of the hall, take a left turn, and the Seedlings classroom will be the first room on your right.

What to Wear

You’ll see everything from jeans and a t-shirt to dresses and button-downs. Come as you are and wear what feels comfortable to you!

Parking

Parking is available in our rear lot, along Jamestown Road/Cary Street, and in the William and Mary parking lot across form the church on Sundays (7:00am - 1:00pm). Use the Banner Entrance from the rear lot or front doors if street parking. All entrances are barrier-free.
