This event is open to both church members and non-members. Come enjoy a delicious breakfast and learn more about the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Southeast Virginia. Our speaker will be Barbara Monteith, Senior Development Manager of the Southeastern Virginia chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Barbara has worked in development for the Southeastern Virginia chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association for the past twelve years. She has a background in education and holds a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia and an M.A. in Linguistics from George Mason University. Barbara lives in Williamsburg with her husband, Martin, and they have two adult children. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys bike riding, kayaking, and reading.
Barbara will discuss the latest updates in Alzheimer’s research, strategies for reducing risk, and resources available to caregivers and the general public. A complete breakfast will be served by the men of our church, featuring a selection of breakfast casseroles, sweet rolls, breads, and fresh fruit, along with juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
The cost for breakfast is $10.00, and all proceeds will be donated to support church ministries and outreach.
