Join us for an evening of joyful traditional New Orleans-style jazz in support of Hope in the Mountains, a faith-based organization bringing hope and positive change to communities in southwestern West Virginia.
Hope in the Mountains serves youth, families, and adults through programs such as summer camps, readings initiatives, internships, education workshops, and substance abuse prevention for both youth and adults. Much of this work takes place at The Hope Center in downtown Sophia, West Virginia — a welcoming community space offering hospitality, encouragement, and partnership in addressing local needs.
The concert will be held in the Fellowship Hall and will feature the Jubilee Dixieland Band, led by our very own, Lew Mabie (clarinet), performing classic jazz favorites rooted in the New Orleans tradition.
Admission is free, and a donation will be received to support Hope in the Mountains. Refreshments — including desserts, coffee, tea, water, and lemonade — will be available. The concert is sponsored by the Williamsburg United Methodist Church United Methodist Men and United Women in Faith.
All are welcome — come enjoy great music, warm fellowship, and the opportunity to support a ministry making a meaningful difference!
