At Williamsburg United Methodist Church, we understand that life is a journey filled with significant moments, and we are honored to walk alongside you through every step. Whether you're celebrating the joyous union of marriage, commemorating the life of a loved one, or embracing the sacred sacrament of baptism, our community is here to support and share in these meaningful moments.

Baptism & confirmation

The United Methodist Church recognizes the two sacraments in which Christ himself participated: baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism joins Christians everywhere and is a symbol of new life and forgiveness of sins. Persons of any age can be baptized once, and the method can be sprinkling, immersion or pouring. Through baptism we are joined with the church and with Christians everywhere.

Although confirmation is not a sacrament in the United Methodist Church, it is an important step along one’s spiritual journey. In the United Methodist Church, Confirmation is an opportunity for people to recognize God’s work of grace in their lives and embrace being disciples of Jesus Christ.

We are here to help you through this difficult time with compassion and dignity for your loved one. A pastor will meet with you and your family to assist with the details and preparations for the funeral service.

weddings

We believe a marriage ceremony is an act of worship and are eager to work with you to ensure your wedding reflects praise and thanksgiving to God. Our church offers more than just a venue. We provide the services of ordained clergy experienced in pre-marital counseling and in planning and officiating wedding ceremonies. We invite you to attend one of our Sunday morning worship services to get a feel for our worship space and community.
