United Women in Faith Hands-On Mission Week 2025
May 17–22 | Hosted by Williamsburg United Methodist Church
Join us for a week of meaningful service, connection, and impact! Each day offers a different opportunity to serve our local and global neighbors. Participate in one, several, or all of the activities—there’s something for everyone, including great options for families and grandchildren.
All Week (May 17–22):

Write Notes of Encouragement to UMC missionaries around the world.
Email addresses are available online. -
Decorate Placemats & Posters for Kairos Prison Ministry.
All supplies and guidelines provided. A meaningful activity to do at home with children or grandchildren.

Help sort and stock donations.

Monday, May 19 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
WUMC Church Kitchen or Your Home

Clean and polish Christmas Eve candleholders.

Supplies provided—can be done at the church or at home.
Tuesday, May 20 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Grove Christian Outreach Center | 8800 Pocahontas Trail

Organize donated items.

Assist shoppers and support Grove’s vital mission in the community.
Wednesday, May 21 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Williamsburg Botanical Garden | 5537 Centerville Road

Share a picnic lunch with residents of Latisha’s House.

Donate food for the lunch (details provided during sign-up).

Decorate placemats & posters for Kairos Prison Ministry (supplies provided).
Thursday, May 22 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Abram Frink Community Center | 8901 Pocahontas Trail

Craft and play games with participants in The Arc of Abilities program.
Donation Opportunities
If you’re unable to volunteer, you can still participate through giving! Please bring donations to the Collection Closet during Hands-On Mission Week, clearly labeled for “HOM” and the recipient organization. For larger donations or if dropping off outside the designated week, please deliver directly to the site.
