October Churchwide Fellowship Breakfast
Join us at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, in the Fellowship Hall for the Churchwide Fellowship Breakfast. Members of Williamsburg United Methodist Church and guests from the wider community are welcome. Enjoy breakfast together and learn more about the role of stewardship in the life and mission of our church.
Our featured speaker will be Alison Foley, Vice President of Investments at Davenport & Company LLC. Alison helps individuals and families plan for a secure retirement and is especially passionate about helping small-business owners and nonprofit organizations develop financial road maps for current needs and legacy planning. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and holds Series 7 and 66 designations with FINRA. Her presentation will explore how generosity supports WUMC’s worship, outreach, justice work, community care, and Christian witness, as well as the many ways members can contribute through financial gifts, volunteer service, prayer, and personal talents.
About Alison
Alison is an active member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church, where she serves on the Endowment Committee. She also serves on the Peake Childhood Center Board of Directors and previously served as its treasurer. Her additional community service includes roles on the boards of the Early Childhood Music School in Williamsburg and the Williamsburg Parents’ Co-operative Preschool Finance Committee. After 10 years of active service with the Junior League of Hampton Roads, including multiple terms on its Board of Directors, she is now a sustaining member. Alison enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, and spending time with her husband, Jake, and their two children.
Breakfast Menu and Tickets
The Williamsburg United Methodist Men will serve a full breakfast featuring breakfast casseroles; sweet rolls and breads; fresh fruit; and juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Tickets are $10 per person, and all proceeds will support WUMC Global Outreach Ministries. Join us for good food, fellowship while you discover how personal and organizational stewardship can strengthen our church and enrich the wider community.
