Thanks to your incredible generosity, our recent Backpack Drive was a wonderful success! Together, we provided 14 backpacks filled with school supplies for our “apple” students, bringing smiles and encouragement as they started the new school year.
But the blessings didn’t stop there! Your donations went above and beyond—allowing us to give a large supply of classroom materials to the WJCC Teacher Supply Shop, a 100% donor-based program that helps teachers and staff get the supplies they need without the financial burden. Courtney, the Family and Community Engagement Specialist for WJCC Schools, shared:
“Thank you WUMC for such a GENEROUS donation last week. The Teacher Supply Shop is a 100% donor-based shop that houses classroom supplies donated by the community for WJCC Schools’ teachers and staff. The program alleviates the financial burden of our teachers and staff. Therefore, any donations that we receive like yours help our teachers, staff and ultimately our students. This program is two years old. Thank you SO much!”
In addition, our Choir members graciously provided backpacks for our Afghan families, spreading the blessing even further.
