On October 26, approximately 550 people gathered in New Town for the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Williamsburg, including 18 dedicated members from our WUMC Respite Care Walk team. We’re thrilled to share that our team has raised nearly $6,500 in support of the Alzheimer’s Association’s vital care, support, and research initiatives, currently placing us at #8 on the leaderboard. Thank you to all WUMC members and friends who contributed to this effort! So far, the Walk has raised over $210,000 toward finding a cure.
Every day, new advances in diagnostics and treatments are bringing us closer to hope. If you or a loved one needs support, please reach out to the Alzheimer’s Association Hotline at 800-272-3900 or visit their local office at 358 McLaws Circle, Williamsburg.
With gratitude,
Barbara Monteith - Team Captain, Respite Care at WUMC
