Williamsburg United Methodist will partner with Meals on Wheels and the Greater Williamsburg Outreach Mission this summer to provide healthy lunches for nearly 300 children living in local motels and low-income apartments. These are children who receive free or reduced lunches at their public schools during the regular school year.
Working together, WUMC and King of Glory Lutheran Church will provide the lunches each Thursday during the 10-week period of June 17 – August 23. We need your help to accomplish this mission! Click the SIGN UP TO HELP button above to sign up for specific dates to assist with the lunch preparation and packaging and/or to provide home baked cookies to be included with each meal. Please ONLY sign up for slots that have WUMC in the heading, as we’re trying to give our partner church an equal chance to volunteer!
