WHY WE GIVE

Giving from your first fruits is a principle that is taught throughout the Bible. A gift or a tithe is a tangible expression of faith which proclaims that God is first in our lives. Through our tithes and gifts, we are promoting the Good News of Jesus Christ and spreading a portion of God’s Kingdom to in the Williamsburg area and the world.

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepare.  This day is holy to our Lord…”    Nehemiah 8:10.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”    2 Corinthians 9:7

Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.    Proverbs 15:10
