New here?

Welcome to the Williamsburg United Methodist Church! We are honored by your presence and hope you will join us between worship services in the Atrium for coffee, fellowship and a small gift.

Feel free to ask anything - each usher, greeter, pastor or pew neighbor is eager to be of service.  Please add some feedback by filling out the 1st Time Guest Card found in the sanctuary pew rack and dropping it in the collection plate.  Adding your email lets us respond to your needs and questions as they arise in the future.

Better yet, let us know you're coming (whether in person or online) by clicking here and we'll look forward to your visit!

wHEN IS THE WORSHIP SERVICE?  wHAT IS IT LIKE?

We have traditional in-Sanctuary worship services every Sunday at 8:15am and 11:00am

Our 11:00am service is also livestreamed via our website, Facebook ,and YouTube. Prior recordings are available for viewing on our website.

Sunday services usually lasts for one hour.

The service begins promptly with a welcome from the pastor and announcements. Children come forward for a Moment of Teaching (and at the 11:00am service, a special Children's worship outside the Sanctuary if offered for the duration of the sermon for adults). Scripture readings are followed by a sermon. We then offer prayers and close by singing a final hymn and receiving a blessing.

Music is an important component of each service. From handbell ensembles, the pipe organ, to an array of choirs of various ages, and an orchestra on special occasions, the music enhances the worship experience.

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.

The church also has an alternative worship service every month. Messy Church is our family-oriented, activity-based, worship celebration held on the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. For more information on Messy Church, click here.

Of course, you are absolutely welcome to bring your children with you to the Sanctuary worship services where Children's Worship Activity Bags are available outside the Sanctuary doors for use during the service. We love children!
