Understanding Our Journey and Unity in Faith

In a period of significant transition within the United Methodist Church, many in our congregation and beyond are seeking clarity and perspective on the shifts occurring across the denomination. Our lead pastor offers a thoughtful exploration of the current landscape, addressing common questions and concerns with depth and compassion. From the reasons behind churches leaving the UMC to the specifics of the Virginia Conference and the position of Williamsburg United Methodist Church within these changes, this article provides valuable insights and direction for our path forward. We invite you to read the full article for a comprehensive understanding and guidance on how we continue to embody our commitment to God’s forgiving and reconciling love amidst times of change.

In preparation for the upcoming General Conference, we invite you to watch an information session held by WUMC's own Bishop Pete Weaver and Warren Harper (the latter of whom will attend the General Conference as Lay Delegate) about the legislative proposals to be considered there.
